Polyaspartic Floor Coatings

A multi-coat floor system with decorative flake blends and a clear topcoat — for garages, basements, patios and more. Installed by Apollo Concrete Coatings.

Polyaspartic & Apollo Concrete Coatings

Polyaspartic coatings are the system Apollo Concrete Coatings uses to turn plain grey concrete into a finished floor. Our crew handles the whole project — grinding and repairing the concrete, applying the base coat and decorative flake, and finishing with a clear topcoat — so the same team that quotes your floor is the team that installs it.

What It Is

A Seamless, Multi-Layer Floor Coating

Multi-Coat System

Applied in layers — typically a base coat, a broadcast of decorative flakes, and a clear topcoat.

Decorative Flake Blends

Color flake blends in a wide range of tones, plus solid-color options.

Seamless Finish

One continuous coated surface, wall to wall, with no seams or grout lines.

Fast-Curing Chemistry

Polyaspartic cures quickly, so coats can be applied back to back on the same day.

Professional Prep

The concrete is mechanically ground before coating so the system can bond to clean, open concrete.

Easy Routine Care

Sweep or dust-mop, and wash with a mop and mild cleaner as needed.

Where It Goes

Garages and Beyond

Garage floors are the most common project, but the same system is used on interior and exterior concrete around the home and business.

How It's Installed

The 5-Step Install

01

Estimate

We look at your floor, talk through colors, and give you a written quote.

02

Grind & Prep

The concrete is diamond-ground and cleaned so the coating has an open surface to bond to.

03

Repair

Cracks, pits and divots are filled and smoothed before any coating goes down.

04

Base & Flake

A pigmented base coat goes down and decorative flakes are broadcast into it.

05

Topcoat

Excess flake is scraped off and a clear topcoat is applied over the top.

Common Questions

Polyaspartic FAQ

What is a polyaspartic floor coating?
Polyaspartic is a type of polyurea coating. It is applied as a liquid in several coats over properly prepared concrete — typically a base coat, a broadcast of decorative flakes, and a clear topcoat — to create one seamless finished surface.
Is polyaspartic the same as epoxy?
No. Both are two-part floor-coating systems, but they use different chemistry. One practical difference is cure time: polyaspartic cures faster, so coats can be applied back to back, while epoxy usually needs longer between coats. Your installer can walk you through which system fits your floor.
How long does installation take?
It depends on the size of the space, the condition of the concrete and the prep involved. Many residential garage floors are completed in about a day — your installer will give you a timeline with your written quote.
When can I use my floor again?
Your installer will tell you when the floor is ready for foot traffic and when it is ready for vehicles, based on your project and conditions on the day.
Does my concrete need to be prepared first?
Yes. The concrete is mechanically ground and cracks or pits are repaired before coating. Proper prep is one of the most important parts of the job, and it is included in your quote.
What colors and finishes are available?
Most projects use a decorative flake blend, and solid colors are available too. Your installer brings samples to your estimate so you can see them in person.
What warranty comes with it?
Warranty terms depend on the project and are spelled out in writing with your quote — ask your installer for details.
